Saving a Query
You can save an advanced search as a query. The 'Saved Query and Query Dashboard' workflow makes it possible for you to assemble and visualize multiple appliances belonging to multiple accounts under one pane.
To save a query, run an advanced search using the Query Builder or the Advanced Query interface, and click Save Query. Provide the required details and save the query with specified search parameters. The saved queries can be accessed from the Activity History and the Saved Queries and Favorites tab in Preferences.
Then you can perform the following actions on a saved query:
Favorite a saved query by clicking the star icon, upon which it will be available in the Favorites tab within Activity History.
Click Edit Details in the kebab menu to edit the query name or description.
Click Copy Query Link to copy the query link and share with other users if required, or open in a new tab.
Click Delete if the query is no longer required. The query will be permanently deleted.
Edit the existing search parameters or add more filters to the query and click Save to save the same query with the new changes.
Click Reset at any time before saving the changes to preserve the original query parameters.
Make any changes to the query and click Save As to save the query with another name and with the new search parameters.
You can search within the saved query results to retrieve a sub-set of results.
For example, if you have a saved query for an appliance model 5220, and you want to view the appliances for that model whose capacity is between 50TB to 60TB, then you can apply the Capacity filter with the desired capacity range. This will fetch the appliances with model no.5220 with capacity between 50TB and 60TB. You can also choose to Save or Save As this query with the new filter applied.
