Recommendations tab
The Recommendations tab on the multi-systems dashboard displays the list of recommendations prescribed by the Veritas Predictive Insights engine to rectify the problems observed on the appliances.
The problems could be pertaining to the hardware or firmware anomalies, missing updates or hotfixes, disruptions in Call Home telemetry, expiring/expired appliance support, any or all of which can cause the SRS scores to drop indicating the inadequate system health.
Click the Recommendations tab on the dashboard to view the prescribed recommendations for the systems you are managing.
The list can be filtered on the severity - Critical, Risk, Warning, and Information.
You can perform the following actions on this tab:
Enable or disable the Show acknowledged recommendations in the table option to manage whether the acknowledged recommendations should be displayed in the list. Disabling this option excludes the acknowledged recommendations from the exported list as well.
Refer to Acknowledging the recommendations.
Click the Severity filters to narrow-down the results as per the severity of problems.
Click Export at the top of the list to export the recommendations data.
Search for the recommendations using the UID, severity, category/component etc.
In the recommendations list, hover over the Problem Description and the Recommendation columns of a record to view them in detail.
Click the UID in a record to open the Recommendations tab on the dashboard of a specific appliance for viewing all the SRS and recommendations details for that appliance.
As a team Administrator or a Standard user, you have the ability to acknowledge the recommendations and hide them from the recommendations list. Acknowledging the recommendations does not delete them from the list, but only temporarily hides them from the view.
You might want to use this functionality in cases where the recommendations can not be resolved due to a portal maintenance activity or some other restriction, or when you want to view or export the recommendations related to specific category/component or a problem. Then you can acknowledge and hide the unwanted recommendations for a focused and precise view.
Notes:
Acknowledging the recommendations does not impact the SRS computation in any way. SRS will still include the penalties for the recommendations that you acknowledge.
Recommendations in Active state must be resolved before acknowledging.
Acknowledged recommendations will automatically re-appear in the list after their specified duration.
To acknowledge a recommendation:
In the recommendations list, click the dots icon for the recommendation that you want to hide, and then click Acknowledge.
On the Confirm Acknowledgement pop-up, specify the duration for which to hide the recommendation, and click Save.
To un-acknowledge a recommendation:
Click Un-acknowledge in the dots icon to reverse the acknowledgement of the recommendation and to include it in the list.
Then you can use the toggle switch at the top of the Recommended Actions page to manage if the acknowledged recommendations should be displayed or not.
System Health Insights users can access Recommendations from Customer, Account, and Query dashboards. The process of submitting feedback is same from all the dashboards.
To submit feedback,
- Go to Recommendations tab and click Feedback.
- A feedback pop-up will appear.
- Select appropriate radio button and add general comments, if any.
- Click Submit.
