About the Appliance Dashboard
The Appliance Dashboard view provides a summarized view of the key information related to a single appliance in the cards and tabs layout, same as the multi-systems or account dashboard. You can quickly assess the current condition of the appliance health state and drill down into specific areas if required.
To open an appliance dashboard, click the UID of an appliance in the Appliance List retrieved by any search or a saved query, or the multi-systems dashboard.
The tab-based view of the dashboard has the following tabs - Overview, Registration Details, Recommendations, Storage, Events, and Inventory.
Note:
For a clustered system, you can run a search using a Veritas Asset Tag, Veritas Cluster ID (VCID), or individual serial numbers of the nodes within a cluster. Click on the UIDs or serial numbers to open the corresponding Cluster Dashboard. System Health Insights does not generate separate dashboards for the Individual nodes within a cluster.
You can perform the following actions on an appliance's dashboard:
Click the star icon at the top right corner of the dashboard to mark the dashboard as Favorite.
Thereafter, you can quickly access it any time from the Favorites tab in the Activity History, and from the Saved Queries and Favorites tab in the Preferences.
Click Actions > Manage Alerts at the top right corner of the dashboard to configure and subscribe the Call Home Transmission alert on the appliance.
If you are a team administrator, you can manage the data restriction mode for an appliance. Click Actions > Manage Data Restriction Mode at the top right corner of the dashboard to enable or disable the data restriction mode, as applicable.
Also refer to Managing the data restriction mode for single or multiple appliances
As a formal process, customers must follow documented process and involve Veritas's account teams before converting their NBA appliances to Flex. Following the process would ensure Veritas will update its records (ADR) and customer gets appropriate support and services.
There are instances where customers are directly converting NBA appliances to Flex without following the process. There are 42 appliances in the field which are converted to Flex, but ADR shows NBA.
In such scenarios, a banner will appear on the Customer/Query/Account ID Dashboard, containing the list of UIDs that have been converted from NBA to Flex without involving the Veritas accounts team.
