Viewing alerts
You can track the operations that you start, and respond to any alerts that result from the operation. An alert is an event or condition in Velocity that requires your attention.
Alerts are displayed for the following events:
A database ingest has started, completed, or failed.
A sandbox has been created.
A sandbox has been mounted or failed to mount.
Storage usage on the Velocity Storage Server has reached a critical level.
The connection between the Velocity Storage Server and the Velocity Cloud Console has been lost or restored.
Everyone who has a role in Velocity can see alerts. Although you can't delete alerts, you can mark them as read.
To view alerts
- From any dialog in the Velocity Cloud Console, click the bell icon at the top right of the screen, circled in red below.
Velocity includes several alert levels to help you quickly see the alerts that need immediate attention.
Table: Alert levels
Alert | Description |
---|---|
Critical Indicates that operations may fail unless you respond to the alert. | |
Warning Indicates that there are conditions that may or may not cause operations to fail. You should monitor the conditions and take actions to resolve them. | |

Confirmation Provides the messages for the conditions that are successfully completed. |
