Database ingestion fails with the Oracle error 'diskgroup {xx} space exhausted'

Issue

A database ingestion may fail with the Oracle error 'diskgroup {xx} space exhausted.'

Solution

Use RMAN to delete any previously ingested backup files that you no longer need from the Oracle Database server on which they are stored. Then, try the database ingestion again.
