Disabling copy preparation for Oracle database copies
When you disable copy preparation, the setting applies to all database ingestions that you configure for the same database. That is, copy preparation is disabled for all database copies from all database sources that are of the same database.
Warning:
When you disable copy preparation, sandbox users that have access to the database source can access the original, unmodified database copy.
You can re-enable copy preparation for a database source at any time. When you re-enable copy preparation, it is re-enabled for all database copies from all database sources that are of the same database. All previously modified copies are available for sandbox users.
See Masking sensitive data manually in database copies.
See Masking sensitive data in database copies by using a script.
To disable copy preparation for Oracle database copies
- From the Velocity Cloud Console, in the left pane, click Database Sources.
- Select the row that the Oracle database source appears on, and then click Details.
- Click Edit.
- Deselect the option Enable Copy Preparation, and then when prompted, click Disable Copy Preparation, and then click Save.
If there are multiple database copies for this Oracle database source, or if there are multiple databases sources for a database, you are prompted to disable copy preparation on all of the copies.
