Configuring a proxy server for Velocity

Velocity supports using a proxy server to connect to the Velocity Cloud Console.

To configure a proxy server for Velocity:

Type the following command to stop the vagentd service on the Velocity Storage Server:
service vagentd stop
Edit the following settings in the [host] section of the controller.conf file (/opt/veritas/velocity/etc/controller/conf):
- For proxyhost, enter the IP address or FQDN of the proxy server that you want to use to connect to the Velocity Cloud Console.
- For proxyport, enter the port that you want to use to connect to the proxy server.
Type the following command to restart the vagentd service:
service vagentd start
After you restart the service, Velocity automatically uses the proxy server to connect to the Velocity Cloud Console.
