Create Sandbox - Review Settings
Review the selections that you have made to create a sandbox.
Table: Create Sandbox - Review Settings
Item | Description |
---|---|
From Velocity | Specifies the Velocity Storage Server where the database copy is stored. |
To Sandbox Server | Specifies the server on which you are setting up the database copy in a sandbox. |
Selected Database Copy | Displays the information about the database copy that you specified to set up from a sandbox. |
Source Host | Displays the information about the server that you specified to host the sandbox. |
Sandbox Settings | Displays the sandbox name and description that you specified. |
Copy Date | Displays the date and time of the database source from which this sandbox was created. |
Oracle Version | Displays the version of Oracle on the database source. |
Sandbox Name | Displays the name that you specified for the sandbox. |
Database Name | Displays the name that you specified for the database that you want to set up from the sandbox. |
Description | Displays the description of the sandbox that you specified to help you distinguish it from other sandboxes. |
Apply Copy Preparation Script | Indicates if the option to apply a copy preparation script is enabled. If the option is not enabled, you must run the data preparation tools after you create the sandbox. |
Copy Preparation Script Path | Displays the path and file name of the script that you specified on the sandbox host server that automatically runs on the database copy to mask or sanitize the data. |
Database Memory | Displays the memory size that you specified for the database that you want to run from the sandbox. By default, the allocated memory size is 40% of the available system memory on the computer that hosts the sandbox. Note: When you create a sandbox, the default database memory setting is too low to create the sandbox. You must enter a different memory size in the Database Memory field when you create a sandbox. Refer to the MEMORY_TARGET setting or the SGA_TARGET setting of the source database. |
Working Directory | Displays the local path that you specified on the host of the working directory to which you want to direct all of the input operations and output operations of the database. You can specify the path of the working directory to your local disk to enable better input and output operations. |
Custom Oracle Home Path | Displays the Oracle home path that you specified to use to set up the database from the sandbox. If there are multiple Oracle home paths on a node, the default home path is the first home path in |
NFS Mount Path | Displays the NFS mount path that you specified as the path on the host server where the NFS share is mounted. If you do not enter an NFS mount path, Velocity uses a default path. |
Database Automatically Started | Indicates if the option to automatically start the database instance is enabled. If the option is not enabled, you must start the database instance manually. |
