About factory reset on the Velocity physical appliance

The purpose of an appliance factory reset is to return the appliance to a clean, unconfigured, and factory state. However, you can choose to retain the network settings.

The following components are reset:

Appliance operating system
Appliance software
Velocity software
Any applied patches
(Optional) Networking configuration

Note:

The factory reset disables WAN optimization for all network interface bonds if you select to retain the network configuration. After the factory reset completes, you can then enable WAN optimization again for the network interface bonds.

If you do not retain your network configuration, all network interface bonds are deleted during the factory reset. After the reset completes, the appliance automatically enables WAN optimization for all network interface ports, including those that comprised the bonds.
