Name
Manage > HighAvailability > AddNode — Add a new compute node to a high availability (HA) setup.
SYNOPSIS
AddNode hostname
DESCRIPTION
This command adds a new compute node (partner node) to an HA setup by adding the host name of the new node.
This command is only available before the HA setup is complete.
Note:
This command can only be used on appliance model 5330 and 5340 media servers. Appliance model 52xx primary or media servers cannot be used to run this command.
Note:
The NetBackup 5350 Appliance is not intended or supported for use in HA configurations.
Before using this command, make sure that the following requirements are met:
The model and the hardware configuration of the node you want to add are identical to the existing node.
The two nodes use the same software version.
The HA setup has been created using the first configured node.
The hostname, the IP address, and the network details are configured on the node you want to add.
