SYNOPSIS

Install update_name

DESCRIPTION

Use this command to install a software update, hotfix/patch, or firmware update to an appliance that you designate.

To use this command you must know the file name of the software update, the hotfix/patch, or the firmware update that you want to install. To see a list of the available updates you can install, run the Software > List AvailablePatch command. This command checks the Veritas site for the latest updates. Once you find the update that you want to install, you must run the Software > Download update_name command, where update_name is the file name of the software update, hotfix/patch file, or firmware update. The following shows an example of each file name:

NetBack Appliance software release: SYMC_NBAPP_update-version-1.x86_64.rpm

Hotfix/patch: NBAPP_EEB_ETnumber-appliance_software_version-1.x86_64.rpm

Firmware update: VRTS_SUREETnumber-appliace_software_version-SURE_version.x86_64.rpm

After you have downloaded the update, you can run the Software > Install update_name command.

update_name is the file name of the update that you want to install.
