Managing hosts
A host can be in Unmanaged state for various reasons. Once the conditions for unmanaged state are resolved, using the License Management Service console, you can manage the host again.
To manage a host
- On the License Management Service console, expand License management in the left pane.
- Click License usage.
- In the Host tab, do one of the following:
Select the check box next to the host name which you want to manage, and click Manage host in the table heading row.
Click the actions menu (three vertical dots) in the same row of the host, and click Manage host.
Select multiple check boxes next to the host name, and click Manage host in the table heading row.
Use the filter to identify all the hosts whose status is unmanaged. Select the check box next to Host in the table heading row to select all the hosts that are displayed on the selected page of the table, and click Manage host.
This is useful when you want to manage a large number of hosts.
- Click Manage.
See Unmanaging a host.
