About License Management Service
License Management Service is a single centralized console for viewing and managing InfoScale Classic and Cloud product licenses. License Management Service can be installed as a standalone product or along with InfoScale Operations Manager. License Management Service can also be installed within AWS and Azure cloud.
Key features of License Management Service are:
Consolidate view: The console provides a comprehensive view of the available license entitlement units, the total number, used number, unutilized quantity, over-utilized quantity and more. Thereby enables you to better manage existing license entitlements, plan for upgrades, renewals, and new purchases. Easily identify entitlements that are nearing the end of support and schedule updates when it is convenient for your business. Ensure that your company is in full compliance with all its software obligations and prevents unexpected license costs.
Core Plus calculation: A primary function of License Management Service includes the provision of Core Plus calculation. Core Plus uses the physical core count of the server CPU, and the processor coefficient performance rating, to calculate Core Plus License requirements. The Core Plus table determines the core units required for attached hosts. This enables you to easily identify licensing requirements for your environment. The Core Plus table is maintained by Arctera on the Services and Operations Readiness Tools (SORT) website and updated when new processors are released. This Core Plus table is called the License Meter file on the License Management Service console.
Licensing reports: Provides a variety of reports to understand the status of all your InfoScale licenses to help you better manage your business. It generates a detailed report on your environment, including the versions of InfoScale licenses and the CPU specifications of the underlying hardware on which they are deployed. Status of entitlements as well as a comparison of entitlements versus usage of hosts.
