Reassigning entitlements to Kubernetes nodes
Using the License Management Service you can reassign the entitlements that are assigned to Kubernetes nodes. Reassigning entitlements can be required for multiple reasons such as, you have purchased new licenses and want to assign them to the nodes that have older entitlements. Or when the cluster no longer has the InfoScale product installed on it, or is obsolete you can reassign the entitlements to other nodes in another cluster. To view the currently assigned entitlement, click on the number in the Entitlements assigned column in the host name row on the Kubernetes tab.
Use the search, refresh, and toggle selection menu to locate the appropriate Kubernetes node if required.
There are three methods to reassign entitlements. Choose whichever method is convenient for you.
Method 1: From the License usage menu, in the Kubernetes tab, select the node and reassign the entitlement. To reassign entitlement IDs from the License usage menu
Method 2: From the Entitlements tab in Entitlements menu, select the entitlement and reassign the Kubernetes nodes that are attached to it. To reassign entitlement IDs from the Entitlements tab
Method 3: From the License cores usage tab in Entitlements menu. Select the InfoScale product and then reassign the entitlement to the node. To reassign entitlements to Kubernetes nodes from the License cores usage tab
In certain situations, the Kubernetes nodes might have partially assigned entitlements. This takes place when the node was assigned to multiple entitlements and one or more entitlements have expired. In this scenario, the right-click operation on the node is Kubernetes tab in the License usage menu only.
