Creating new user accounts

Information Map uses the Veritas Application Portal to authenticate user accounts. You must create one or more user accounts on this service.

The Veritas Application Portal account credentials let you securely sign in to Information Map. You must provide details of your first (and optionally second) Information Map administrator as part of the provisioning form for the on-boarding process. These details are used to pre-provision your first Information Map administrator's account as a part of that process. The administrator can then optionally create other user accounts in the Veritas Application Portal and grant them access to Information Map

To configure a user account using Veritas Application Portal

  1. Enter https://apps.veritas.com in your browser window to open the Veritas Application Portal user management site.
  2. Login to the portal using your customer admin credentials.
  3. Click User Management.
  4. On the Tenant Users panel, you can review users that have already been added. Click Add to add a new user.

    You can also edit the properties of a user or delete a user account from this page.

  5. On the Add User pop-up, enter the email and name of the Information Map user account, and click Next to move to the Application Access tab.
  6. The Application Access tab to set which users are administrators. Toggle the Yes/No control to provide further user management rights to the user account. The user management privileges allow the administrator to create accounts for other users in your organization and grant them access to Information Map.
  7. Click OK.

    The user will receive an email to initiate the process to set the password. Follow the instructions to reset the password.

You can use Veritas Application Portal to create additional application users.
