Connectivity requirements
Internet connectivity is required by both the Information Map application and the Information Map Agent.
If you have specific firewall restrictions you must add exceptions for the ports that the Information Map Agent use. The network requirements for Veritas Information Map are as follows:
US Data Center External connectivity for the Information Map Agent |
|
EMEA Data Center | Ensure that the following URLs are accessible from the Information Map Agent:
|
Internal connectivity for the Information Map Agent |
|
External connectivity for Information Map application | Internet connectivity is required between the Agent and Information Fabric. Ensure that the following URLs are accessible from the Information Map Agent:
|
Table: List of Information Fabric ports describes the ports used by the Agent to connect with Information Map.
Table: List of Information Fabric ports
Source | Destination | Default port |
---|---|---|
Information Map Agent | Information Map Agent URL Information Fabric API URL Veritas Application Portal URL | TCP port 443 (HTTPS) |
NetBackup master server URLs | Port 1556 | |
EMC Isilon | TCP port 8080 (HTTP) | |
Information Map application user | Information Map Agent URL Veritas Application Portal URL | TCP port 443 (HTTPS) |
Note:
No inbound ports in the firewall will need to be opened. The on-premises Information Map Agent communicates outbound on HTTPS port 443. The ports are for internal communication from browser to agent, and thus they must be secured from external access.
