Configuring non-business data definition
Information Map reports on the volume and number of non-business files on your file systems. You can configure what constitutes, non-business data.
To define non-business data
- In Information Map, click Administration > Global Settings.
- Click Non-business data.
- By default, Information Map classifies Audio, Video, and Game files as non-business data. These check-boxes are selected by default.
Select the item types that you want to categorise as non-business data.
A number of file formats (extensions) are mapped to an item type. For example, the Game item type includes, among others, the following file formats:
Extension
Description
agx
AGT Game File
arena
Quake 3 Engine Arena File
bmg
Nintendo DS On-Screen Text File
dol
GameCube Executable File
gsc
Call of Duty Game Script
To review the file format mappings, see the Veritas Information Map User Guide.
- Click Save.
