System requirements

The Information Map Agent collects the metadata from the NetBackup catalog and configured connections, and uploads it to the Information Fabric technology platform. This section lists the system requirements of the server that is designated as the Information Map Agent Server.

System requirements for Information Map Agent
  • The Agent Server can be a physical or a virtual server.

  • Windows 2012, 2012 R2, or Windows 2016. The operating system must be 64 bit.

Supported NetBackup versions

Information Map is compatible with Veritas NetBackup versions 7.6.x, 7.7.x, 8.0, 8.1, and Veritas NetBackup Appliance versions 2.6 or later.

Note:

In case of NetBackup 8.1, ensure that the Enable insecure communication with NetBackup 8.0 and earlier hosts check box on the Global Security Settings page is selected. This setting allows the Agent to connect with the NetBackup master server.

Note:

When the system is used for collecting from any of the supported data stores including NetBackup, ensure that the agent node meets system requirements for both data stores .

Note:

Disk space requirements assumes average file size of 250KB. You may require additional space if average file size is less than 250 KB.
