The options in this pane let you set the language of the search interface and the date and time format. The time format settings apply to the results pane and the advanced search fields.

Choose language. You can set the search interface to match the language preferences in your web browser, or you can choose from a list of supported languages. If you choose Same as web browser, but you have set the browser to a language that Enterprise Vault Search does not support, then the search interface defaults to English (United States).

Show time in results and reading pane. For each item in the results pane, specifies whether to show the time as well as the date in the item's date properties.

Use 24-hour format. When this option is selected, displays times in 24-hour format rather than 12-hour format.

Show AM/PM. Hides or shows the AM and PM symbols in the 12-hour format.

Note:

If you turn off the 24-hour format and the AM and PM suffix, the ordering of items in the results pane may appear to be incorrect. For example, if both these options are turned off, 9 PM and 10 AM appear as 9:00 and 10:00 in the results pane. If the items are arranged in ascending order of the time, the item showing 10 appears first in the results pane. This can cause confusion.

Short date/Long date. Sets the required date format for use in the results pane and the reading pane, and gives an example of the selected format.
