Creating an S3 bucket
You need to create an S3 bucket to store NetBackup backup images on Veritas Access.
You can create only one S3 bucket at a time.
There is a five-minute delay prior to seeing the S3 bucket information on the File Systems tab.
To create an S3 bucket
- Prerequisites:
Activate a long-term data retention policy.
Create an access and a secret key as an Active Directory (AD) user.
- After activating one of the policies, there is a Provision Storage option on the Quick Actions menu.
- Quick Actions: Select Provision Storage.
- Specify the storage options.
You can create an S3 bucket up to 3 PB in size.
Two file system layouts are available, Simple, or Mirror.
- Enter the access and the secret key that you generated as an AD user.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
