About cloud-storage tiering
The Veritas Access cloud-storage tiering feature allows administrators to mix on-premises storage with Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, AWS GovCloud (US), Azure, Google cloud, Alibaba, Veritas Access S3, IBM Cloud Object Storage, and any S3-compatible storage provider as a single file system. This allows for efficient storage management without causing any operational disruption. After configuring cloud tiering, the data stored in the file system can be intelligently moved between the tiers as needed while retaining the original file access paths. Veritas Access moves the data from on-premises to the supported cloud providers directly based on automated policy management. This is especially useful for long-term data retention use cases.
