Managing permissions for CIFS shares
You can export a CIFS share for use by one or more client systems.
Each client entry (which may include multiple clients) may have different access permissions and CIFS export options.
To allow permissions to a CIFS share
- Specify the user name to allow permissions.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
To modify permissions for a CIFS share
- Specify the user name for the CIFS share
- Modify the permissions as required.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
To deny permissions from a CIFS share
- Select a user name to deny. If there is only one user entry, the share will be deleted.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
