Viewing file system performance
The File System Performance report displays the IOPS, throughput, and latency of the data in the file system based on the specified intervals.
Performance data is generated for file systems based on mapping file systems to the volumes used by the file system. Performance data is gathered on all the volumes of the file systems. The underlying VxVM command vxstat provides the performance information. vxstat provides information on the number of I/O requests (IOPS) processed per second, the amount of data read and written per second, and latency for reads and writes at any given instance. These are mapped to IOPS, throughput, and latency (in milliseconds) respectively. System performance samples are provided on all of the nodes in the cluster. Data is provided every five minutes. The sampling rate cannot be changed. Data is stored in the /var/opt/VRTSnas/isagui/stat_log/
directory.
Data for all the file systems is aggregated on the dashboard and displayed in the graph.
Node Utilization Statistics
Statistical data is gathered for the following:
CPU
Memory
This information is gathered for each node every five minutes. The sampling rate cannot be changed. Data is stored in the /var/opt/VRTSnas/isagui/stat_log/
directory. Performance data is collected using standard Linux tools such as vmstat and CPU utilization from /proc/stat
.
