Adding a secondary tier

Add a secondary tier to move aged data to secondary storage.

To add a secondary tier

  1. In the File Systems tab, select the file system for which you want to add the secondary tier.
  2. Select the Storage tab, and select the Add Secondary Tier button.
  3. Specify the tier size.
  4. Specify the layout.
  5. Select the storage pool for storing your on-premises data.
  6. View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
