Exporting an NFS share as an S3 bucket
You can export an NFS share for a file system as an S3 bucket for storing your unstructured data.
The NFS share can only be exported using the root path, for example, if the NFS share is exported from file system fs1
, the path is /vx/fs1
and /vx/fs1/test
. Only /vx/fs1/test
can be exported to an S3 bucket. /vx/fs1
is not allowed.
To export an NFS share as an S3 bucket
- Prerequisites:
Create an NFS share.
Create a file system for exporting the NFS share.
- Shares: Select the NFS file system for which you want to export the NFS share as an S3 bucket.
- Right-click the ellipses and select Export as S3 Bucket.
- Specify the S3 user name.
Only one S3 user can be added at a time.
Once completed, NFS displays for Access Protocol.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
To modify an NFS share as an S3 bucket
- Prerequisites:
Export an NFS share as an S3 bucket.
- Shares: Select the NFS file system for which you want to unexport the NFS share as an S3 bucket.
