Setting up the object server group-specific parameters

You can set default file system parameters that can be used for creating file systems for all the users in a particular group.

Creating a user group lets you do the following:

  • Specify that all the S3 buckets for a particular group get created on the specified pool.

  • Specify that all the S3 buckets for a particular group get created with the same file system size.

  • Specify that all the S3 buckets for a particular group get created with the same file system layout.

To set file system parameters for a group of users

  1. In the Settings > S3 Management for Group related parameters, click Add Group.
  2. Specify a name for the group.
  3. Specify the file system size for the group.
  4. Specify the file system layout.
  5. Specify the pools for the group.
  6. View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
