Creating a CIFS share with episodic replication
You can create a CIFS share with episodic replication.
To create a CIFS share with episodic replication
- Prerequisites:
Configure storage.
Start the CIFS server.
Configure replication.
Activate a storage policy.
- Quick Actions: Go to Provision Storage > Storage for CIFS > With Episodic Replication, and then click Continue.
- Click the Configure Storage tab and specify the storage options.
- Click the Start CIFS Server tab, and then click Start CIFS Server to start the CIFS server.
- Click Configure Replication > Go to Replication link to set up the replication VIP on both the source and the target cluster.
- Click Set Up Replication Link.
- Click the Activate Storage Policy tab, select a policy for the CIFS share, and then click Activate Policy.
- Click the Provision Storage tab, and then click Finish.
Note:
If a storage policy is not activated, you cannot provision storage for the CIFS share.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
