Creating, renaming, and deleting a folder
In Exchange and Internet Mail archives, you can create new folders and rename or delete any custom folders that you previously created. You cannot modify the standard folders.
Note:
Your administrator must configure Enterprise Vault Search to allow you to create, rename, and delete folders. Even then, you cannot rename or delete any retention folders that you administrator has added to your archives. In the sidebar of Enterprise Vault Search, retention folders have the following icon to distinguish them from standard archive folders:
To create a folder
- Right-click the mailbox or folder in which you want to create the new folder and select Create a New Folder.
A new folder is created.
- Type the new folder name.
To rename a folder
- Right-click the folder you want to rename and select Rename.
- Type the new folder name.
To delete a folder
- Locate the folder that you want to delete. The folder has to be empty and user-created within the archive.
- Right-click the folder you want to delete and select Delete.
It might take some time before Enterprise Vault Search is updated.
