Explanation: Certificate generation can fail due to various reasons.
Examples of certificate generation failure:
CloudPoint located on the cloud may be unable to connect with NetBackup located on-premises inside a firewall.
The credentials may not be valid.
Recommended Action: Perform one or more of the following actions, depending upon the error you see:
Check the NetBackup
nbemm
logs to identify the exact error.Check your network connectivity with CloudPoint and the credentials you use to connect to NetBackup.
Resolve network issues if any, using
netstat
or a similar network diagnosis tool.Modify the CloudPoint credentials using
option if required.Check if nbcertcmdtool is able to connect to the web service running on the NetBackup primary server to generate the NetBackup certificates.
