NetBackup status code: 8307
Explanation: The data-in-transit encryption in the domain is enforced, but the data-in-transit encryption setting on the client or the backup host is disabled and it conflicts with the global setting. As a result of this issue, backup or restore fails.
Note:
For a 9.1 NetBackup client, if the data-in-transit encryption mode (DTE_CLIENT_MODE option) is not explicitly set, it is considered to be Off.
Recommended Action: Perform one of the following as appropriate:
If data-in-transit is to be enforced for a client or a backup host, then enable data-in-transit encryption for that client or a backup host. Enable encryption by setting the DTE_CLIENT_MODE option in the
bp.conf
configuration file toOn
.If data-in-transit encryption is to be off for a particular client or a backup host, perform the following:
Set the data-in-transit encryption of the domain to PREFERRED_ON.
For option 2, DTE is disabled while the job is performed.
For more information, refer to the Configuring data-in-transit encryption section in the NetBackup Security and Encryption Guide.
