NetBackup status code: 7259
Explanation: NetBackup cannot find a valid external CA certificate on the local host using the associated values from the deployment policy (or values the nbinstallcmd command specifies).
Recommended Action: For more details about this error, examine the nbcertcmdtool logs. The nbinstallagent log reports the nbcertcmdtool command line arguments and output.
For Windows, the
nbcertcmdtool
logs are located in the normal install log location (which defaults to%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Veritas\NetBackup\InstallLogs
). A separate file is created for each command run and the files you want to review are prefixed withExternalCertificateOp
.For UNIX, these are in
/usr/openv/tmp/
and the name is prefixed with install_commands. The PID is appended and for example, a file name can be/usr/openv/tmp/install_commands.47832
For more information, see the NetBackup API Reference Guide.
Review the external CA certificate values that are defined in the deployment policy (or the nbinstallcmd command line) to ensure that they apply to the target host. Review the nbinstallagent log for a record of the NetBackup command that is executed to resolve the external CA certificate. Review the NetBackup Security and Encryption Guide for more information on how to configure a NetBackup environment for use with external CA certificates.
