Installing the NetBackup client add-on packages
The supported NetBackup clients can be installed as add-on packages.
Considerations while installing the NetBackup client add-on packages:
If the nodes are configured in the cluster, the NetBackup client add-on packages are installed on both nodes.
If the nodes are not configured in the cluster, you have to download and install the NetBackup client add-on packages on both the nodes.
To create a file system, refer the section Creating a file system section in the Access Appliance Administrator's Guide on SORT. The file system used for the NetBackup client configuration should be a minimum of 10 GB with a 5-way striped layout. The client configuration uses 1 GB or less of space of the file system, and the remaining space is used for NetBackup Accelerator track logs. The NetBackup file system is used to store NetBackup client configuration and NetBackup Accelerator track logs. You can grow the file system as per your requirement.
The virtual IP should be pingable and online. You can check the status of the virtual IP using the network ip addr show command.
