Changing the primary IP for Veritas Data Deduplication
You can change the deduplication primary IP for any instance of Veritas Data Deduplication.
To change the deduplication primary IP for any instance
- Go to Settings > Veritas Data Deduplication.
- Click on the instance name for which you want to change the primary IP.
- From the primary IP section, click on the Edit icon (pencil symbol).
- A dialog box is displayed. From the drop-down list, select the virtual IP that you want to use as the new primary IP for that instance.
Click Save.
- You can click View all activities to see the progress of the task.
Note:
You must map the new IP with the FQDN of the old IP in the /etc/hosts
file. You can do this using the network host add <new_ip> <old_ip_fqdn> command from CLISH.
