Re-enabling the NetBackup Virtual Appliance intrusion prevention system policy

You can use the following procedure to re-enable the Intrusion Security policy (IPS) from the maintenance mode.

To re-enable the Symantec Intrusion security policy:

  1. Log on to the NetBackup Virtual Appliance Shell Menu as an administrator.
  2. Enter the Support > Maintenance command to bring up the Maintenance Mode login prompt. Enter the Maintenance user account password to log into Maintenance Mode.

  3. In Maintenance Mode, type the following command to re-enable the IPS policy:
    /opt/Symantec/sdcssagent/IPS/sisipsoverride.sh

    The following message is displayed:

Current Policy: NetBackup Appliance Prevention Policy, r33

Policy Prevention: Enabled

Policy Override: Allowed

Override State: Overriden
