About the commands under the Network view

From the Network administration view, you can perform the following operations:

  • Administer the network settings.

  • Set the time zone and the system time.

  • Display the uptime statistics for the appliance.

Configure the IPv4 or IPv6 address of a network interface with the default gateway.

Use to set or show the computer system time.

DNS

Configure the DNS information.

Gateway

Add a new default gateway or delete an existing one for an interface.

Hostname

Set or get the host name of an appliance.

Hosts

Add or delete a host entry from the hosts' file or view the hosts configuration information.

IPv4

Change the IPv4 address of a network interface.

IPv6

Change the IPv6 address of a network interface.

NetStat

Examine network statistical information.

NTPServer

Use this command to manage the NTP servers. You can add, delete, and show current NTP servers.

Ping

An attempt to reach a host or IP address with ICMP ECHO_REQUESTs

SetProperty

Use to set the Ethernet interface property.

Show

You can use this command to show the network properties.

Timezone

Use to set or reset the time zone.

TraceRoute

Displays the network packet route.

Unconfigure

Removes the IP address and shuts down the interface.
