Migrating the NetBackup images from the Veritas Data Deduplication STU to the MSDP-C STU
You can migrate the NetBackup images from the Veritas Data Deduplication STU to the MSDP-C STU.
To migrate the NetBackup images from the Veritas Data Deduplication STU to the MSDP-C STU which is configured on bucket of Veritas Access Objectaccess server
- Configure MSDP-C with Veritas Access Objectaccess bucket.
- Change the existing SLP to point to the MSDP-C STU instead of the Veritas Data Deduplication STU so that the new images will get duplicated to the MSDP-C STU.
- Go to NetBackup Management > Catalog and select the Action as Duplicate from the drop-down menu.
- In NetBackup Management > Catalog, right-click on the image that is stored on the Veritas Data Deduplication STU which you want to duplicate on the MSDP-C STU. Select Duplicate.
- In the pop-up window that appears, select the MSDP-C STU and click OK.
- In the confirmation screen, click OK to start duplication. You can check the progress of the image duplication in the NetBackup Activity Monitor.
- After duplication completes, expire the backup image stored on the Veritas Data Deduplication STU.
