Migrating the NetBackup images from the Veritas Data Deduplication STU to the MSDP-C STU

You can migrate the NetBackup images from the Veritas Data Deduplication STU to the MSDP-C STU.

To migrate the NetBackup images from the Veritas Data Deduplication STU to the MSDP-C STU which is configured on bucket of Veritas Access Objectaccess server

  1. Configure MSDP-C with Veritas Access Objectaccess bucket.
  2. Change the existing SLP to point to the MSDP-C STU instead of the Veritas Data Deduplication STU so that the new images will get duplicated to the MSDP-C STU.
  3. Go to NetBackup Management > Catalog and select the Action as Duplicate from the drop-down menu.
  4. In NetBackup Management > Catalog, right-click on the image that is stored on the Veritas Data Deduplication STU which you want to duplicate on the MSDP-C STU. Select Duplicate.
  5. In the pop-up window that appears, select the MSDP-C STU and click OK.
  6. In the confirmation screen, click OK to start duplication. You can check the progress of the image duplication in the NetBackup Activity Monitor.
  7. After duplication completes, expire the backup image stored on the Veritas Data Deduplication STU.
