Description

Enterprise Vault converts RTF message bodies to HTML. If Enterprise Vault performs many such conversions, or if the documents are complex, then you may suffer performance problems. In such cases, you can significantly improve performance by making Enterprise Vault convert the documents to text instead of HTML.

Use ConvertRTFCoverToText to specify whether to convert messages whose body is RTF text or HTML.

If the value is not 0 (zero), then ".rtf" is logically added to the value of the registry setting, TextConversionFileTypes, on the local Enterprise Vault server.

Restart the Storage service to apply changes to the registry value.

This value is supported as a local server override of the site setting, File types converted to text. The site setting should be used to ensure a consistent content conversion configuration for all Enterprise Vault Storage servers in the site.
