Creating a snapshot of a LUN for an iSCSI target
When you create a snapshot of a LUN, an image is created for the file system. Creating a snapshot minimizes the use of disk space by using a storage checkpoint within the same free space available to the file system.
To create a snapshot of a LUN
- Go to File Systems > iSCSI Target.
- Click an iSCSI target name for which you want to create a snapshot of a LUN.
- Click the LUN tab.
- Click the ellipses (additional options) for an LUN, and click Snapshot.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
