MessageClassesPreventingMsgClassChangeOnView
Location | HKEY_CURRENT_USER \SOFTWARE \KVS \Enterprise Vault \Client |
Content | String. Specifies the message classes that are unchangeable when items of the specified type are opened in Outlook. The default value is as follows: IPM.Note.SMime*;IPM.Report.*;REPORT.IPM* |
Description | Preserves the message classes of archived items that have the specified classes. When a user opens a shortcut, Enterprise Vault normally appends the suffix "EnterpriseVault.Original" to its message class to indicate that the shortcut is a view of an archived item. In certain circumstances, this suffix can prevent some types of items from opening properly in Outlook. This registry value lets you preserve the original message class of these items so that they open without error. To specify multiple classes, separate them using a semicolon (;). You can type the exact class name or append an asterisk (*) to indicate a prefix match. The class names are case-insensitive. Note: This registry value performs the same function as the advanced Exchange desktop policy setting "Preserve message class", which you can set through the Administration Console. For more information on the policy setting, see the Administrator's Guide. |
