OVPreemptAdvance
Location | See Location of Vault Cache and Virtual Vault registry values. |
Content | DWORD An integer indicating a number of days. The default vault is 7. |
Description | Enterprise Vault uses this setting when it calculates the age of items to preemptively copy from the .OST file to the Vault Cache. The process is known as preemptive caching. Preemptive caching reduces the number of items that need to be downloaded from the mailbox archive when the Vault Cache is synchronized with the mailbox archive. Note: This registry value performs the same function as the advanced Exchange desktop policy setting "Preemptive archiving in advance", which you can set through the Administration Console. For more information on the policy setting, see the Administrator's Guide. |
