EnableCrawler

Content | DWORD 0 - Disable StorageCrawler process 1 - (Default) Enable StorageCrawler process |
Description | Enables or disables the StorageCrawler process. Disabling the StorageCrawler process prevents index updates. Set EnableCrawler to 0 when placing Enterprise Vault in read-only mode in preparation for backing up. Set EnableCrawler to 1 when backups are complete. Note: The use of EnableCrawler is deprecated from Enterprise Vault version 8.0. The storage service logs an event at start-up if it finds that EnableCrawler is set to 0. Vaults and indexes can now be placed in backup mode using the Enterprise Vault Administration Console or a PowerShell cmdlet. For more information, see the Backup and Recovery guide. |
