0 - Enterprise Vault does not convert or index hidden text.

1 - (Default) Enterprise Vault converts and indexes hidden text.

Description

Controls whether Enterprise Vault includes hidden text when converting documents to HTML. If you include hidden text then it is also indexed and so can be searched.

PDF files that are created by OCR software often include hidden text versions of the scanned images. If you enable this registry value Enterprise Vault converts and indexes this hidden text.

Restart the Storage service to apply changes.

This value is supported as a local server override of the site setting, Include hidden text. The site setting should be used to ensure a consistent content conversion configuration for all Enterprise Vault Storage servers in the site.
