Description

FileServerID contains the value of the FileServerEntryID column in the FileServerEntry table of the Enterprise Vault Directory database.

Enterprise Vault adds this value to a Windows file server's registry if you do any of the following:

  • Install the FSA Agent when adding the file server as a target with the New File Server wizard.

  • Install the FSA Agent on the file server using the Install FSA Agent wizard.

  • Check the Archive this file server check box on the target file server's properties.

From Enterprise Vault 10.0 onwards, the Placeholder service creates this value if the value does not already exist. Before Enterprise Vault 10.0, Enterprise Vault did not create the value if you manually installed the FSA Agent, or if you push-installed the FSA Agent to an FSA Reporting proxy server.
