Enhancements in anomaly detection
Anomaly detection is enabled by default
Starting with NetBackup 10.4, for fresh installation, anomaly detection is by default enabled for the following policy types: Standard, MS-Windows, NAS-Data-Protection, and Universal share.
NetBackup risk engine
The new NetBackup risk engine detects certain system anomalies in a proactive manner and sends respective alerts. It helps you take corrective action before you face any security threat in your environment.
You can configure the following options that the risk engine uses to detect anomalies for the given critical operations:
Detect suspicious image expiration
Secure critical operations
Detect possible session hijack
See the NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide for more information.
