If you run the storage fs offline command on a file system on which Veritas Data Deduplication is configured while the dedupe shrink operation is in progress, it may lead to an incorrect configuration of the duplication server
The storage fs offline command is restricted on a file system when the Veritas Data Deduplication server is configured and online. The deduplication server is brought offline as part of the dedupe shrink. If you run the storage fs offline command on the file system at this stage, a race condition may occur. The file system may be unmounted from the host but still be present inside the application container. The file system on which Veritas Data Deduplication is configured appears offline while the deduplication server may appear online and healthy. This issue does not cause any functionality impact.

Workaround:
Stop the deduplication server, bring the the file system online and restart the deduplication server. Contact Veritas Technical Support for assistance.
