Configuring isolated recovery environment (IRE)
You can configure an isolated recovery environment (IRE) on an Access Appliance media server to create an air gap between your production environment and a copy of the protected data. The air gap restricts network access to the IRE environment all the time. This feature helps to protect against ransomware and malware.
For more details, refer to the Configuring isolated recovery environment (IRE) chapter in the Veritas Access Appliance Administrator's Guide.
