Deleting certificates of non-root users after upgrading to 2048 bit key and SHA256 signature certificates
After upgrading to 2048 bit key and SHA256 signature certificates, the certificates of non-root users become obsolete and must be deleted in order to allow non-root users to log in. Perform the following steps to delete the non-root certificates for each non-root user:
- Delete .VRTSat from the home directory of the users.
# rm -rf /user_home_directory/.VRTSat
- If the non-root user was not a cluster user prior to upgrade, add user to Cluster with appropriate Privilege.
# hauser -add <user name> -priv <Privilege>
- Log in with non-root user and create new certificates.
# /opt/VRTS/bin/halogin <non_root_user> <password>
- You must delete certificates related to Zone since they also become obsolete after the upgrade. You must delete them using the following command on each Zone.
# rm -rf /var/VRTSvcs/vcsauth/data/CLIENT
- Recreate the certificates using the following command.
#/opt/VRTS/bin/hazonesetup -g zone_grp -r <zone_resname> \ -z <zone_name> -u <zone_user> -p <password> -a -s sys1,sys2
