The credentials for running the Windows PowerShell should belong to a SharePoint administrator, a non-administrator user, or a user who is part of the local system account group. For discovery, the credentials should belong to a SharePoint Online administrator. |
Credentials required to scan the site collection associated to the SharePoint Online account. The scan process collects the metadata of the configured site collections. For example, the creator of the file, size of the file, date when the file was created, created on. |
This credential belongs to a SharePoint Online administrator having full control over the site collections associated with the account. It must also have permissions on the site collections that are added to the account subsequently. The credentials required are the username and password which you must specify on the Management Console when adding a SharePoint Online account. See Configuring an administrator account for Data Insight. for details on adding the SharePoint Online administrator on the Office 365 admin center. |
