New features for NetBackup for VMware in the NetBackup web UI
The following features are available in this release:
When a user creates an RBAC role, they can select a datacenter as an asset and apply RBAC permissions to it.
When a user manages a VMware server from the VMware servers tab, they can manage the permissions for a datacenter.
You can grant RBAC permissions at the VM level using VMware vCloud Director object hierarchy or the VMware Sphere (vCenter) object hierarchy. You can apply permissions this way when you create a new role or when you select the
option for the VM.A new configuration option
VM_SNAPSHOT_QUIESCE_STATUS
provides the ability to change the status of the snapshot job from0
to1
(Partial success) when a quiescence of a target VMware virtual machine fails. This change may affect jobs whether you use the web UI or the Administration Console.
