Connecting to the remote Exchange server from within Event Viewer
You can view the logs on the remote server by opening Event Viewer on a server that has Exchange Server installed. Then connect to the remote computer (the server that performed the off-host backup).
To connect to the remote server from within Event Viewer
- Log in to a server that has Exchange Server installed.
- Open the Event Viewer.
- Click Actions > Connect to another computer.
- In the Select Computer dialog box, click Another computer.
- Type the name of the remote server or click Browse to select the server.
- Click OK.
- In the left-hand pane, click Application to view the Exchange logs related to the off-host backup.
